“There is a dynamism to some of the activities that jaded RE teachers will find invigorating.”

RE Today

"As an organisation we have used it in two different schools so far and have another lined up for later on this year. It has been easy to teach, perfect to encourage others to teach (I think I told you that 4 of us have been involved in the delivery and I’m the only trained teacher amongst that number), brilliant for getting the pupils enthused and interested in Christianity and gratefully received by the teaching staff in the schools we’ve delivered it in.

As a trained teacher and one who used to teach RE at KS3 (less than 5 years ago!) I would say it knocks the spots off other resources I had available to me. It is honest about its Christian roots, relevant both for Christians and for the RE curriculum, and best of all leaves pupils with a good knowledge of the Christian faith without proselytizing or being unnecessarily over-the-top. I would recommend both these resources without hesitation to anyone looking to offer RE lessons to their local secondary school!"

"We regularly use both parts of exploRE as we’ve found that it’s a great way to engage with RE departments in a way that’s relevant and useful to them. We delivered the Bible lesson from exploRE: the Christian faith with the entirety of Year 7 and found it helped bring the Bible to life in a way that’s not often done in RE. We used the Kingdom of God lessons from exploRE: the life of Jesus with Year 8 in quite a challenging school and with young people who have a fairly limited understanding of the Christian faith. The concepts were pretty challenging but the lesson material helped the students engage with it on a level that really resonated with them."
